San Francisco: sitting on the dock of the bay

Vagabond Tim
I found myself with a week off of work and nothing to do, so I hit up google hoping to find some local event. I ended up finding out about a concert in San Francisco instead.

Being a big fan of Jonathan Coulton attending it seemed the only logical course of action. A few hours later we arrived at the airport and took a very long cab ride to our hotel, mere meters from the water. From our room we could hear the ceaseless warking along with the ocean, which resulted in getting almost no sleep for an entire week.

Having a few days to kill before and after the concert allowed for a lot of fairly aimless wandering along the coast. The most interesting thing I found on the waters edge was the balclutha an eighteen hundreds shipping vessel that has been turned into a museum of sorts, complete with scurvy riddled crewmen.

Following our tour of the ship I found myself quite hungry. The restaurant Cioppino’s was nearby and proved to make the  best Spaghetti known to mankind.

I have often considered returning to San Francisco exclusively to eat here again.

Although one wouldn't expect pirates to be cruising around, the gold coast however is lousy with them

Despite my best efforts the ship proved to be immune to theft
